Project Development We are developing projects worldwide to express Islamic Enviromentalism in the modern context and are available on a consultancy basis to any organisation who wish to develop similar projects.
Current activites include: Indonesia I - Bandung, Java - National seminar on the revitalisation of the Indonesian environmental movement through the application of Islamic environmental ethics. Indonesia II - Mandailing Natal, North Sumatera - Community based ecological resource management. Nigeria - Kano - Sensitising Muslims in the Northern region of Nigeria to the ethical dimensions of Islamic environmental practice. Pakistan - Jhelum, Azad Kashmir - Re-greening of Upper Jehlum Canal based on Islamic conservation principles. Tanzania - Zanzibar - Laying down foundations of Islamic environmental practice: setting up shariah based institutions and publishing Guide Book for ulema and madrasa teachers. Yemen - Taiz - The rehabilitation of traditional water conservation systems through the application of Islamic conservation principles. Further projects are being developed in: - Chiapas, Mexico - Reforestation.

The Future FEES intends to establish a College for Ecology and Environmental Sciences as a matter of urgency for which we are seeking funds (See Vision). This centre will provide: - Research programmes based on Islamic perspectives.

- Training and activities in land resource management.
- Research and development into new technology.
